My new project is a 1931 Model A Roadster body. It rides on an original Model A frame. The frame uses the stock front and rear cross members. Center cross member is a 1932 ford cut down to fit the A frame. Front suspension is stock A with a four inch dropped axle rear end is 1938 ford. I striped a 1948 Ford four door donor car for most of the parts for this project. I used the stock 1948 Ford front lever type shocks on all four corners, modified to fit. Steering is Ford F1 truck. The braking system is out of the 1948 ford, yes it all fits. My engine is a 1952 Merc 255 flathead with Edmunds heads and two pot manifold with two 97 Stromberg carbs. It's bored .040 over and uses an Isky Max 1 grind cam shaft with adjustable lifters. The transmission is a 1939 three speed. The body will be painted black. I'm building the car to traditional standards. My roadster will be at the HOT ROD RUCKUS in June. See You There.
